Worth to know
DandyBed and DandyPlaid
All covers of our DandyBeds and DandyPlaids are made of robust upholstery fabrics with high abrasion resistance. The fabric qualities are selected under the aspects of resistance to claws, hair-repellent surfaces, antistatic, durability, ease of care and washability and are only purchased from manufacturers in Europe.
All side cushions and the inner pillow are filled with quality spherical fibres. The outstanding properties of this filling are in particular:
All these characteristics have led us to work only with this filling. Compared to the much cheaper foam flakes (hardly washable because of the very long drying time, not easy on the joints because of the inflexibility and relatively fast sagging, mostly made of used old foams) and polystyrene balls (not washable, loud, forming micro plastic dust through friction and inhalable by the dog, hard compressed surface) the advantages of a ball fibre filling are unbeatable for us despite the higher price.
Even after years of practical tests the spherical fibres have convinced us completely. In the interest of the health of our four-legged companions, a dog bed should consist of a really high-quality filling and be durable.
Paspel & Co.
We only use tested zippers that can withstand tension. Since our cushions are thickly filled, they must be able to easily absorb all movements and loads.
The base material of our DandyBeds is a particularly densely knitted fabric with enormous 120,000 Martindale rubbing strokes and particularly seam-stable, so that even scratches from dog claws cannot harm it.
For the shape of our dog beds we have decided on the proven box bed form. The side edge not only provides protection and support for the dog, but also protects the wall of the room from possible dirt and moisture from the dog's fur. The low entrance at the front allows small but also sick and older dogs to get comfortably into their DandyBed.
In contrast to most other dog beds, our DandyBeds are bulgingly filled with ball fibres. So the side and inner cushions can withstand the pressure of large and heavy dogs and remain especially stable. Thanks to the bulky filling, the dog still feels cuddly and secure in its DandyBed.
We place the highest value on design. Yes also with dog beds. We are of the opinion that a dog bed should also fit harmoniously and stylishly into our interior design. After all, an XL-DandyBed, for example, almost takes on the dimensions of a sofa. So you want it to match your personal style.
That is why we are constantly looking for new fabrics throughout Europe, which meet our quality standards and reflect the most diverse styles of interior design.
Each side cushion incl. filling, the inner cushion incl. filling and the design cover of our DandyBeds can be washed at least at 30 degrees in a normal household washing machine. Should there be any special requirements regarding washability (higher temperature resistance, stain-resistant impregnations etc.), this will be explicitly described in the description of the respective product in the online shop.
All DandyPlaids, including the volume fleece, are washable just like our DandyBeds.
Please note that especially with pure cotton fabrics a certain shrinkage and bleeding can occur during washing. Cotton is a natural product and should be pulled into shape after washing.
To avoid discolouration please wash DandyBeds and DandyPlaids only with the same colours. Do not leave to dry in the sun. Fabric softener should generally not be used for dog beds and blankets.
This way you can enjoy your new DandyBed and DandyPlaid for a long time!
What size dog bed does my dog need?
For a better orientation we have prepared a list of pedigree dogs with the recommended bed size. Please note that only the average sizes and weights of the dogs can be considered in the list.
If your dog is larger and/or heavier, we recommend choosing a larger dog bed.
